    Question Medicine Ball

It's been some time since I've taken a tai chi class. The fundamentals are still there and I still do my exercises. Long story short; at my local gym are medicine balls. My question is to avid practitioners and sifus is: can the implement of using the medicine ball improve ballance and technique? The imaginary ball vs weighted ball if you will.
