功夫太極雜誌社（Kung Fu Tai Chi Magazine）社長簡琪昨天宣佈，今年舉辦的2017年第九屆國際武術錦標賽及第六屆功夫太極日，適逢 雜誌社成立25周年，將擴大舉辦活動，特別增加武術大師表演。活動將從5月19日到21日，在聖荷西舉行系 列活動。 簡琪表示，5月19日、周五，晚7時30分到9時30分，在聖荷西加州戲院（Californ ia Theater, 345 S. First Street, San Jose）舉行功夫雜誌25周年武術大師表演（Kung Fu Tai Chi 25th Anniversary Festival Grandmasters LIVE）邀請著名武術大師表演各派武術精華，是難得一見的武林高手群聚一堂演出。購買 VIP 門票者，可就近與大師們交流，並有最好座位觀賞。一般票價 40元。 5月20日、周六早上8時至下午5時，在聖荷西會議中心（San Jose Convention Center, South Hall）舉行第九屆國際武術錦標賽，將有來自全世界的選手參加。簡琪表示，今年有「國際武術散手道協會」 數十個隊伍參加，將有散手及推手的比賽。今年同時是第五屆跆拳道錦標賽。簡琪表示，「這次比賽不但參加選手 和隊伍超過以往，更可以看到不同武術的比賽。」 5月20日周六晚7時30分至9時30分，將有「國際武術散手道協會」30周年，及「功夫太極雜誌社」25 周年年會慶祝及頒獎。這是史上首次兩大華人武術組織在一起慶祝。晚會門票 55 元，團體、學校、組織一桌 10 人 500元。 ................（更多新聞，請參閱 《星島日報》）
