The three masters above created the shaolin five animal system but there are some questions about their system creation.
a.It was created during the Yuan (mongol) dynasty. How could this be. Every martial art was prohibited.How could someone search free for other masters, search in shaolins library for old forms and practise and create new kung fu styles at this period?
I believe i have an answer. Before the Yuan conquered all of China, there was in the South the southern Song dynasty. Maybe their system was created during the southern Songs. But there is another problem. The Shaolin temple is in the north and not in the south. Could it be that the five animal system was created in the south?But where exactly? Yu feis sons and descendands survived in Hubei province. We have there today Wudang. Maybe in a buddhist monastery in Wudang mountain, related with Shaolin? In Wudang martial arts today, many lineages practice a five animal qigong as their beginner form.
b.You can find the five animal system today in the south not in the north. Hung gar, Choy li fut and other southern systems use the five animal kung fu very much. In the north we have long fist and a few animals with a few motions like in the animals of xing yi quan. Rooster, horse, monkey, tiger and dragon with a few motions each animal. In shaolin kung fu too.
c.What exactly was the five animal system of Bai Yu Feng and co?It was created from the shaolin's luohan shi ba shou system that was expanded from 18 movements into 72. And with the five animals into 173. Are the five animal techniques of Hung Gar, Choy li fut and co henan shaolin luohan techniques?
What's the truth about Lisou's,Bai Yu Feng's and Jue Yuan's system? Was it created during the southern Song in Taihe (wudang) mountain? And reached from there Fujian and Guangdong? How did it look like?
