IMO, the idea of a female James Bond is dumb. So they're going to have a woman who's actually named James Bond? Why not create a female equivalent of 007 instead of a gender-bending JAMES Bond? It's one thing to do that with Colonel Sanders (which they've done with Reba McEntire); it's another thing entirely to do that with an iconic, manly character like 007.

As much as I liked Charleze Theron in Atomic Blonde, to me James Bond is a guy, period. Make her the female equivalent '009' or something. I realize the popular trend nowadays is that "there are no differences between men/boys and women/girls." And while that is true as far as equality goes, it is NOT true that there's no differences. Of course there are differences, and considerable ones at that. Not better or worse, just differences.

What's next, a Barbie movie starring Dwayne Johnson as Barbie and Jennifer Lawrence as Ken? Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised.
