No one has anything to say about this? I thought it was a pretty clever idea. I like the oversized arm. I like the fact that it will pivot side to side to travel with your technique just like a real opponent's arm will when you engage it. The rubber straps were a pretty simple and straight-forward way to make it work. He also has a vid were he does the actual dummy form on both his Center Line dummy and a regular dummy for comparison. You don't get that nice impact or "banging" on the arms of the Central Line dummy because that arm moves with you.
Here is another new innovative design. A height adjustable, free-standing dummy:

The Centerline dummy has some problems, for me. Some parts of the form can't be done right or at all, and it seems to encourage sticking and wristy actions which I don't use the dummy for.
The Unity dummy looks like it might be interesting. I'd first have to level the arms, then play around with it to make sure it all measures correctly. If it does, then it might be pretty good.

---I agree. And the guy states at one point that it isn't intended to replace a regular dummy, but is simply another training apparatus. But you can't do any of the two-hand actions on it like you would on the two upper arms of the regular dummy. And initially I wasn't impressed with the over-sized arm. But the more I think about it the more I think it would be fun to play around with just because it would be different. But I don't know what he is going to charge for them!

----Yeah, I see it being most useful in a large school with people of varying heights. Or a school with a kids class. But I would be willing to bet it is going to be pretty expensive!
I think the traditional dummy is good enough for what it is. If you want some different training, I think this thing is more useful/has more potential, and costs a lot less. You can make a cheap one by attaching a spring-loaded pvc pipe to a freestanding makiwara.
