    Book Review

This is a new book that just came out and was recently brought to my attention. So I ordered it out of curiosity and it came yesterday. My advice? Don't bother with it.

The book is self-published and only 45 pages long. It doesn't provide much if any background or history on Yuen Kay Shan Wing Chun. It shows no techniques and has no pictures of the system. The only illustrations are a couple of pics of people and a couple of charts. This essentially looks like a summary of Michael Quist's training notes that he has taken over the years. As an example, he has sections on the "attaining the wing chun stance", "upper and lower springs", and "forward focus - directing the spring." But no illustrations of any of it.

If you are curious about Yuen Kay Shan/Sum Nun Wing Chun and want to learn more about, this is stil the book to get!

Got mine in the mail yesterday. Gotta say...at a quick glance it is a slight let down. And the "charts"...you may need a magnifying glass.
I still look forward to reading it, as I am interested in learning more about different lineages.
