    My sifus brother is an carpenter and is supposed to build a bunch but he's slackin. I tried to find one in china town SF but didn't have any luck.

    hmm, real fighting horsebenches have to be specially made. Its a reinforcement technique that most people don't know. I can get one to your doorstep within the month for 150 american.

    how about you just tell me the technique and I can have it made? I'm not sure I need one for combat or that I beleive you anyway. We'll see what sifu says.

    Fighting Bench

    Does anyone out there know of a supply or import company where I can get a fighting bench?

    Starting a new set and would like to have my own bench to practice with.

    Bench

    I saw one of Sifu Andy Truong's students to a bench form at a park once. He said he made it himself under his Sifu's instructions e-mail Sifu Andy Truong his website address is on some thread around here and he might give you the info on how to make it?

    Definitely make your own. From what I have heard most practitioners make their own or have them given to them. The bench isn't the most complicated weapon in the world (speaking from a material and construction stand point only of course).

    It does not make a difference and if it does modern benches are lighter because of the compressed wood! Learn to adapt your form to the many dimensions and weight so you could be superb in your practice!
