C'mon now. Using your argument, I could say BJJ sucks because Ralek promotes it. Why ya gotta cut on Shuai Chiao?

That goose sh!t was funny, totally unrealistic, but funny. A goose would take you down. Trust me, I know. Here's a photo of me before for my NHB match against a similar water fowl in the 1999 Battle of the Banks 4. I'll admit that I wasn't prepared for the ferocity of that beak, and I submitted 32 seconds into the first round.

The minute I saw the thread title I was planning to spin it off, but I see I'm way too late for that. I gotta catch these things sooner.

Ok, so I fought a cockroach today

He just stared me down, like he was all bad, so I rushed in and immediately tried to stomp him. It had no effect, and he continued to scurry about so that he could mount an attack of his own. I wasn't going to give him the chance. I cornered him, tossed him with a powerful yama arashi, then went for the mount. I then began to wail on him with punches and elbows. He was still kicking, and I was tired, so I thought to myself "Well, this is NHB, so anything goes, and proceeded to get a broom. I wacked him with a few good shots, but there was no stopping this guy! My next thought was to break out a can of Raid and get him with my deadly "pesticide palm" technique. By the time I readied the technique, he had managed to get under a crack in the wall. His defense was awful, but he had some hellified iron body training! Those things really don't die. I screamed through the wall crack that I wanted a rematch, which he has yet to grant. I'll get him next time

neptune, :)
My post about the Shuai Chaio fight was not true.
I was doing it to show that a post like that is in bad taste. I think most people knew that.
I personally don't have anything against shuai chaio, I am actually interested in it, and am looking into it myself. Some of the throws are not necessarily just "judo" throws. They seem to have a lot more body lift and leverage throwing similar to different versions of judo's "ushiro goshi"
and that was one of my best moves anyway.
I like Shuai Chaio, but I don't like arrogance to the point of cutting down everyone.
Why do you think I make fun of Ralek when he does the same stuff about KF?

water dragon,

I just made that troll sounding post to mock his stupid post. Just doing a bit of smacktalking. Please don't take any of it in a serious light. I'm not here to troll on my kungfu brothers.

And for the record I agree with practically nothing Ralek has ever said.

brassmonkey,
Haha, how did you know??? :D

Don't get the wrong idea. I wasn't sayin you're the "bad guy". Like honeysmacks pointed out, i read all his other posts and not a troll among them. Plus, I'm pretty sure I know this guy in RL to boot.

Some of the post was somewhat disrespectful; but after all that's been dished out from the other side. I'm a bit understanding of a kung fu guy strutting after a victory- one I'm tempted to believe for the reasons stated above. Maybe it's still no excuse.

Here's the Lost_D, PC paraphrasing of where I think the post is coming from:

quote:
I've been told so many times that these guys, their style, and their training's the best thing on the planet. I was expecting a lot; this particular guy didn't deliver. I've now some cause to doubt the claims and insults that have been hurled at me & my school since the days of UFC 1. The guy and I are still cool though, we even went for a beer after.[/quote]

...or else it was a one-time troll post in the tradition of the "I sparred a kung fu guy at the gym" posts. hehe

Actually it was Johnny Hot Shot who used the term "troll" and probably the one I should've addressed. Sorry about maybe "goin after the wrong guy". You're pretty well respected on this board and your opinion probly holds a lotta weight. If GGL's who I think he is; he's a great guy too.

I like Shuai Chiao and Judo too. Think I'd probly like BJJ too, just wish there wasn't so much bashing coming out of that camp. I've had a couple tastes of Shuai Chiao, attending a few of the classes from this school and messin around with my San Da friend. I would LOVE to do a lot more someday.

OT, reading your other post- do you ever get any flak from hangin out with so many different asian groups? I've always experienced that my HK friends didn't mingle with my Taiwanese friends. Both groups had beef with the Japanese in general; unless it came to picking up girls. The Japanese had beef with the Koreans; and the Koreans I knew had beef with everyone. Maybe u don't have those problems, living in a bigger town with more to do. hehe

Just some thoughts from an ignoramus.
