    This was the last movie John Liu was filming before he retired from movies. I heard he never actually completed it. It looks like a **** show, but believe it or not, John Liu starred in some good old school kung fu movies, such as:

    The Invincible Armour
    Death Duel of Kung Fu
    Struggle Through Death
    Snuff Bottle Connection
    Secret Rivals 1, 2 & 3
    Mar’s Villa
    Incredible Kung Fu Mission

    …and others.

    But his own self-directed movies (his last ones) were all garbage. John Liu did come out of retirement in 1998 to appear in Trinity Goes East.

    I’d watch New York Ninja, just to see how bad it is.

    Yep. This is a restoration from the negatives. Apparently the soundtrack was lost too. Seems like a lot of effort to complete it, so maybe there's something to it?
