    You should use their rules for your next online event, except maybe for the dress code of Shaolin uniforms (that you wouldn't catch me dead in, haha). I like how they leave the requirements vague, such as "body movements that violate human peace are strictly prohibited." Also allowing instrumental music soundtracks is a very good thing and probably helps avoid legal issues, since no vocalist's egos are involved...

    The online kung fu games promote communication and interaction between people around the globe against the backdrop of epidemic curbing.

    The Chinese zodiac sign of 2022 is the Tiger, and the tiger represents justice, majesty, bravery, and diligence in Chinese culture, which identifies with the concept of Shaolin kung fu.

    ZHENGZHOU, China, Feb. 6, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- In December 2021, the online games were jointly launched by the Shaolin Temple and the Shaolin culture centers in the five continents. More than 5000 kung fu enthusiasts of all ages from more than 100 countries have submitted their registration forms. Shaolin kung fu sets off a worldwide craze again.



    "Health is the foundation for a perfect life and the source of people's common values." Shaolin Temple Abbot Shi Yongxin said in his New Year's message, "Kung fu makes us united, more inclusive, and open."

    Featured with universality, Shaolin kung fu is a perfect exercise for people aged from 3 to 80. The online games received registrations from many families.

    The temple also received congratulatory messages from government officials around the world including Heinz Fischer, former president of Austria and president of the Austria-China Friendship Association (ACFA), Slovakian Culture Minister Natália Milanová, Mayor of Slovakia's Brezno City Tomáš Abel, U.S. Congresswoman Grace Meng, New York Governor Kathy Hochul, Austrian Buddhist Religious Society President Gerhard Weißgrab, Chu Kwok-keung, member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong SAR, and Macau Legislative Assembly Members Ma Chi-seng, Zheng Anting, and Pang Chuan.

    Italian TV channel Rai 2 produced a report on the contest, introducing Shaolin kung fu in detail and the Temple's donation to Italy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Local contestants also expressed their love for Shaolin kung fu in the report.

    The result will be announced on February 15. An award ceremony will be held and broadcast to audiences via live streaming.

    K-STAR TEAM TAKES 1ST IN 10 EVENTS DURING THE SHAOLIN KUNG FU ONLINE GAMES



    Members of our K-STAR Training Academy Martial Arts Team recently took part in the World Shaolin Kung Fu Online Games 2022, a virtual Kung Fu Competition hosted by China's Shaolin Temple. The event took place from February 9th to 15th, 2022 attracting total of 5,368 Competitors from 94 countries and regions greater China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), North America, South America, Asia/ Oceania, Europe/ Africa) who participated in the event, reflecting the love and popularity of Kung Fu shared by practitioners all around the globe.

    After a week of judging, a panel made of Shaolin Monks, Martial Arts Experts and Volunteers finished tallying up the scores and posted results of the Online Competition to the Temple's Official Website on March 4th, 2022. Notably K-STAR Training Academy's six athletes finished with an outstanding 10 First Places in 10 events! We couldn't be happier about the result and look forward to continue developing our Martial Arts Team for future events!



    The Shaolin Temple is renowned the world over for their contributions to the Martial Arts and Zen Philosophy over a span of 1,500 years. The Temple which was first constructed in the year 495 A.D. is synonymous with development Shaolin Kung Fu and is the historic birthplace of Zen Buddhism.



    The Shaolin Kung Fu Online Games received much support from celebrities and Martial Arts enthusiasts alike.     Gene also had an article Cirque du Soleil Auditions Wushu Champs as far back as the July/Aug 2003 in Kung Fu Magazine. I just happened to stumble across that old magazine the other day.

    I wonder why the "Buddha via Avalokitesvara" in Chinese after he was manifested at Kuan Yin in China and if the monistic tradition liked her better as a man...
