[Shaolin Temple Official Website News] In order to promote Shaolin culture and serve the physical and mental health of mankind, China Songshan Shaolin Temple has discussed with overseas Shaolin Cultural Centers and Shaolin Federations of various continents and plans to hold the "2024 Global Shaolin Kung Fu Finals" in mid-July 2024. Invite the Shaolin Kung Fu champions from various continents, countries and cities in 2023 to participate in the live finals of the 3rd Shaolin Kung Fu Kung Fu Competition at Songshan Shaolin Temple. The winners of different skin colors and races from six continents will gather together to exchange ideas and decide the "2024 World Shaolin Kung Fu Star".

During the 2022 Spring Festival, Shaolin Temple, together with 94 countries and 128 overseas Shaolin cultural centers in five continents, jointly held the first Shaolin Kung Fu Online Examination Competition, and 5,230 overseas Shaolin disciples actively participated. Xinhua News Agency, China News Service and more than 80 overseas mainstream news media and major social media reported in various forms before, during and after the competition in 11 languages, covering more than 2.6 billion readers and viewers, and Huya Live had more than 19 million viewers per day.

In 2023, we successfully completed the intercontinental examination competitions in six continents, including Africa, Asia, Latin America, North America, Europe and Oceania, in one year. Tens of thousands of Shaolin Kung Fu practitioners of different races, skin colors, ages, and even four generations living together were excited and responded enthusiastically. 101 countries, more than 8,000 Shaolin disciples and tens of thousands of supporters gathered in Zambia, Singapore, Argentina, the United States, Italy and Australia to participate in the competition. The scene was wonderful and the stars in the cyberspace shone, conveying the Shaolin spirit of compassion, love, gratitude, mutual trust and self-improvement to all sentient beings, truly moving the world.

The 2024 Global Shaolin Kung Fu Finals will still focus on the inheritance of Shaolin Kung Fu intangible cultural heritage, with overseas Shaolin disciples and Shaolin Kung Fu enthusiasts as the main targets. It will adopt a combination of online and offline and centralized on-site finals.
1. 2024 Global Shaolin Kung Fu Finals Plan

II. Participating units
This event is open to authorized units, organizations and individuals from all over the world, including but not limited to Shaolin Cultural Centers (museums, schools), kindergartens, social groups, martial arts organizations, clubs, etc.
All personnel must contact the organizing committee contact person, register online, and finally pass the review of the 2024 Shaolin Kaogong Competition Organizing Committee, and participate in the competition after receiving official confirmation.

(I) 2024 World Shaolin Finals

Competition items: Shaolin boxing, Shaolin equipment.
(II) 2024 Overseas Shaolin Culture Transmission Seminar and Commendation Conference
1. Registration time: May 10 to July 10, 2024 (Beijing time)
2. Meeting time: July 13, 2024 (Beijing time)
3. Award time: July 14, 2024 19:00-21:00 (Beijing time)
Meeting location: Dengfeng Zhongzhou International Shaolin Hotel (No. 1, Chanwu Street, Shaolin Sub-district Office, Dengfeng City).
Meeting format: The meeting will be held in the form of inviting participants to share their achievements, participants to discuss, and experts to select outstanding achievements for promotion and reward.
Meeting theme: Shaolin Kung Fu overseas teaching and implementation; Shaolin Kung Fu school management and development.
(III) 2024 Overseas Shaolin Kung Fu Show
1. Registration period: May 10 to July 10, 2024 (Beijing time)
Show location: Shaolin Temple Pagoda Forest Square, Shaolin Temple Permanent Residence, Shaolin Temple Chuzu Temple (UN Intangible Cultural Heritage Building Complex).
Show format: Overseas Shaolin Kung Fu Show adopts the form of contestant practice and judges scoring.
Show items: Shaolin boxing; Shaolin weapons (Shaolin short weapons, Shaolin long weapons, Shaolin soft weapons, Shaolin double weapons); Shaolin sparring (Shaolin barehand sparring, Shaolin weapon sparring, Shaolin barehand and weapon sparring).

2. Training and evaluation: July 15 to 17, 2024
3. Grade awarding: On the morning of July 18, 2024, the grade awarding ceremony will be held and the meeting will be dismissed.
Training content and certificate
1. Nine-stage initial grade (grades 1 to 3)
(1) Training content
Theory: Shaolin Kungfu initial grade theoretical knowledge
Techniques: Shaolin Kungfu first to third grade techniques
(2) Grade assessment
After the training, the Shaolin Kungfu initial grade theoretical and technical assessment will be conducted. Those who pass the test will be awarded a Shaolin Kung Fu Junior Duan Certificate of the corresponding level by the Shaolin Kung Fu Duan System Committee of the Shaolin Temple of Songshan, China.
2. Seventh-stage middle-level (fourth to sixth-level)
(1) Training content
Theory: Shaolin Kung Fu middle-level theoretical knowledge
Technique: Shaolin Kung Fu fourth to sixth-level techniques
(2) Duan evaluation
After the training, a Shaolin Kung Fu middle-level theoretical and technical evaluation will be conducted. Those who pass the test will be awarded a Shaolin Kung Fu middle-level certificate of the corresponding level by the Shaolin Kung Fu Duan System Committee of the Shaolin Temple of Songshan, China.
3. Three-stage high-level (seventh to eighth-level)
(1) Training content
Theory: Shaolin Kung Fu high-level theoretical knowledge
Technique: Shaolin Kung Fu seventh to eighth-level techniques
(2) Duan evaluation
