Trouble accessing KFM Forums....

For the past couple of days, I have been having difficulty accessing the KFM forums. Just letting it be known.

I was away in China at Shaolin Temple for the World Games. I was delighted to discover that I could access our KFM forums in China easily, but was too busy working there to reply.

I made an announcement about this:

FORUM MAINTENANCE NEEDED
If you're active here, you've probably noticed the frequent database errors. Our forum here needs a major update. We are in he process of scheduling and sorting the details. We apologize for the interruption of service but these things need attention every once in a while. Thank you for your continued support of KungFuMagazine.com and our forum here.

Hopefully this will get done soon. Our IT has been looking into the best way to tackle this.

Maybe you can have your technicians fix the Search feature. It sucks. I have to use bing to find an old thread.

It's not something our IT is going to adjust. He has plenty of other more important tasks for our parent company and frankly, that pays the bills around here. Maintaining the forum has been my ask of the company, and they've been compliant as they realize how many eyeballs it brings to our website. Unfortunately, we are current dealing with a major bot infestation, which is throwing our stats all awry.

We are still looking at a major update and perhaps the new version will have a better search engine, but I haven't seen it yet. It will require that our forum go offline for a period of time - probably about two weeks. Hopefully that'll be soon because it's getting buggy again, as you may have noticed.
