It was Wan Li Sheng, one of the Five Tigers of the North who went South.
Forgot to mention that Wan Li Sheng did not use his Natural Boxing nor did he use his Northern Shaolin to defeat Yang. He pushed hands with Yang and lifted Yang who was no light weight, off the ground.. uprooted him!
och cheers, thought no noe was going to reply....
Hi Northern Shaolin.
I have another story/version of Wan Lai Sheng's visit to Yang Chengfu.
Wan was going around the scene, challenging people and defeating them, a lot of them being accomplished masters. He did go to Yang Chengfu, but, as was often the custom back then, had to fight with the students first. No one wanted to fight him because of his reputation, but a student Zhang Qinlin, went out and fought him, and won. So, I thought Wan never got to Yang Chengfu because Zhang beat him(apparently broke his wrist when two of their fists collided). Your thoughts?
