    Still not doing resolutions.

be well, keep well, carry on, stay warm, move fast, think more, be kind....

All that stuff we do anyway, keep doing that.

I'm beginning to see the wisdom of this, DJ. But I still feel I should make some sort of resolution. Anything to help motivate my lazy ass.

    Enjoy the lazy times!
They give you nice things to think about when you're struggling with the headaches of fast living in modern society.

Maybe drink more coffee, get a treadmill and do the planking challenge?

    My resolution

My 2018 NY resolution is to read some books that not martial arts or work related (China, publishing, etc). I read a lot for this job. I seldom read for fun anymore. And I realized that last year, I didn't read a single book that was recreational. So as of last weekend, I've already cracked two new books that have nothing to do with the martial arts or work.

Similar to you, I just picked up Dune and Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy. Never read them, heard they were good.

Cool! I read those like 40 years ago and luved 'em. The mind games of Dune were great. And Hitchhikers was like Monty Python meets Sci-Fi. Both were outstanding examples of world building, long before the YA fantasy genre really emerged. Enjoy!

Good thread. Since year 2000, I have my yearly plan. The MA part of my new year plan is to train free fight, hard conditioning. So that's the same as last year plan. This thread reminds me to review if I have achieved my last year MA plan, to see if I need to change anything. And also plan the detail. I am going to do the review within January.
