Jet did indeed have a first wife who was a teammate from Beijing Wushu Team...can't recall her name despite the fact that I met her. She didn't speak much english so you can imagine how that went. They divorced...not sure why.

I believe Jet's current wife is Nina Li Chi...has been in a few movies, I believe she was in one of Jet's. Among her credits are:
    Twin Dragons (Jackie Chan)
    Kid from Tibet (Yuen Biao)
    Dragon from Russia
    Pedicab Driver (Sammo Hung)
    Aces Go Places 5
    Tiger on Beat
Dragon Fight (with her man Jet)

    Pretty impressive, no?

As far as I know, they have one kid. A daughter if I am not mistaken, and I'm pretty sure I'm not.

    Cheers!

dez: Yup...just about anything ya wanna know. Yes, the daughter was the most recent as far as I remember, which may be why I was thinking they only had one. I think her name is Jane. Tae Li, can you verify that?

Stumble: That is a new one on me! I had heard nothing about this. However, I have heard that he is involved (rather high up I might add) with one of the international wushu unions...in fact, if it is still on here, I wrote a post a while back re: a letter Wu Bin sent to Anthony Goh's attention through Inside Kung Fu. Coach Wu Bin mentions something there about Anthony trying to go directly to Jet with some complaints about how the organization was being run or something to that effect.

The post was titled "Wu Bin KO's Anthony Goh" if you care to look at it (provided it hasn't been deleted). I still have the issue that the letter is in, but it will take a while to dig it up.

    Jet lives in L.A. now.

By the way, Tae...take me along next time you go to visit Jet. I'd be more than happy to entertain Nina while you guys are busy.

Sorry to double post, but I just remembered that I heard something about an "extra action sequence" in Kiss of the Dragon. I haven't tried it yet, but the source is pretty reliable.

In the Special Features on the DVD, go to the part where you can select the fight in the police station....press up on your DVD remote and you should see a symbol appear on Jet's shirt. Press enter and enjoy.

don't know anything about Jet having a group of wushu schools... but i know one of his friends/co-masters Zhao Chang Jun has (in Xian) He is in partnership with none other than Samo Hung! My Sigung did an interview with him for our magazine when he was in china

    Great news for Hero btw!

    Stumble,

Agreed, I'm sure it has to be for individual tastes....a lot of people I know said CTHD dragged but I thought the movie was too short! Of course, I also thought Death to Smootchie was hilarious, so what do I know?

    dez,

Wasn't that guy also in Shaolin Temple with Jet? I'm pretty sure I came across his website once...muscular guy and I'm certain I recognized him as playing a monk from Shaolin Temple.

    hero stuff

i was listening to china radio international today and they had a bit of news on Hero. turns out they expected it to be in the running for an oscar, but to be eligible it has to be released 2 weeks before Oct. 31 and it didn't make the deadline. then they said it would be released on New Year's Eve. apparently that's the american release date since it was talking about the oscars and you guys already said it would be released in december in china. but i don't know for sure.

Speaking of Jet Li "replacements" (read "rip-offs"), has anybody seen the travesty known as Fist of Legend 2: Iron Bodyguards starring......wait for it.....JET LE! I kid you not. Can it be...has Jet attained status previously held for the one and only Bruce Lee? Will there be others....how about Jet Lei? Jet Lii? Jett Li?

    I haven't seen it....is it any good?

thats amazing lol... never even knew it existed!

u know ho chung tao (Bruce Li) was actually pretty good in his own right - just lo wei and others controlling that he always had to be like bruce lee... a shame i remember seeing him ina documentary years ago called 'cinema of vengeance' when he tlaked about all that...

silumkid: any links for that B movie? could be worth getting for cinematic value
