Of course, it has to be on a freaking TUESDAY! *******s. So unfortuantely, due to work demands, I will not be able to make it there.
So, out of curiousity, how does posting on an on-topic thread on a board related to "Martial MEDIA" make me a hypocrite?

Yeah, that would have been nice. If only the studios would release schedules a little more in advance...it's very tough for me to cancel clients at the last minute.
Ah well...I will see this movie eventually.

I picked up a DVD at Best Buy recently and watched it this afternoon. it was entitled "Modern Warriors". Had a blurb about 'Watch the grandmasters techniques and learn from the best and blahdeblah blah blah..." Hey, I had a few bucks left over on a gift certificate, what can I say?
Anyhow, imagine my surprise when I hear Jet's voice. Sure enough, the Jetster is on the DVD talking about martial arts and what training was like in China. In fact, at one point he was talking and to illustrate his point, he just reaches for his ankle and lifts his leg right over his head as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
Who says he doesn't train?

someone dug up this ol thread for me.
Well hero's been out for a while now, what did everyone think? or have you been there done that?
i cired at the end of house of flying daggers. ( sob sob
The difference lies in you.
"I understand now that fear is a normal reaction of the Human Body, so why fight it? Accept being afraid, but dont let it hold you back, keep moving forward and the light will shine at the end of the tunnel"
-Tae Li.
House of Flying Daggers was better than Hero mostly - but the end scene in Hero was cool
Jet li moves inspirationally. Regardless of his skill as a fighter (which he would likely be the first to tell you he has not particularly tried out) the man is one of the main influences that lead to me starting martial arts. Also he is a rarity: an actor who has maintained some humility despite being famous.

Wow, lots o' peeps giving their opinion on Jet Li here, some of them conflicting with others which is only natural
About The One, I think that movie hauls sooo much @ss
Jet Li's english accent makes me laugh because its so very cool and composed. The scene where Gabe's in the attic and says to his wife:
"Just so you know, I'm going to take that gun from you....." you all know the rest
it was something along that line anyway
big up to jet li
Peace!!
It's evident, my potential be infinite- The RZA
hero whooped up on house of daggers
You have to check out the interview with tarantino on the hero dvd. he says, "ok jet, you've been doin MA movies for like ten years now", jet li says 24. Also the way jet says martial arts is hilarious.
SINCE HERO HAS COME OUT, I HAVE NOT SEEN A BETTER MOVIE
