    pullup number one

    I finally did one. The next one, I was only able to go up a third of the way and then I had to shake it out.

    Feels good. It was pretty smooth, too, only a couple of slight pauses where I had to push myself, but no shaking.

    Sorry, folks. Just felt like celebrating a little.

    Good job! You know how many pull-ups most people can do? Zero. You really should be proud.

    Now, get to work on that second one...!

    Congratulations, Robin! Keep the abs tight throughout the movement. It might help you pass the sticking point.

    Iron,

    You're right. That did help. I stopped at my halfway point and decided to keep pulling. My abs just tightened. I felt the strain in my pecs (or it could have been that part of the lat dorsi that attatches to the front of the bicep femor--please correct my anatomy if I'm off on this one).
