What Sparring Equipment to you Use?

I was curious as to what kind of equipment (if any) members on here used for sparring. I use a few different sets of equipment.

    Heavy Sparring (Stand Up/San Shou)-

    Gloves:http://www.ringside.com/Ringside-Saf...ductinfo/RP+E/

    Shin Guards:http://www.titlemma.com/p_TSIG+A.aspx

    Head Gear: http://www.ringside.com/FightGear-Tr...oductinfo/HGB/

This equipment is great for heavy contact sparring, but of course limits grappling openhanded techniques and submissions. It also does not allow for open hand strikes such as palm or ridgehand and knifehand strikes, as well as other more unorthodox hand strikes found in many CMA styles.

I have used these gloves also: http://www.titlemma.com/p_CMMUTG+REG.aspx

The problem with the MMA training glove is that contact needs to be lighter as there is much less dispersement with these. (Does not have the dispersment of a 16oz boxing glove like they claim)

I glove I found recently and wanted to try were the old Jeet Kune Do style gloves that come in velcro, they seem to be decently padded and may allow a little heavier contact than the MMA style:http://www.bebodysmart.com/itemMatri...=&MatrixType=2

Please feel free to discuss sparring equipment you use and why. Thanks.

"The hero and the coward both feel the same thing, but the hero projects his fear onto his opponent while the coward runs. 'Fear'. It's the same thing, but it's what you do with it that matters". -Cus D'Amato
