    The Hateful Eight

I really enjoyed this, the 8th movie by Quentin Tarentino. IMO, QT's last three or so films have gotten progressively better than his earlier works. Excellent acting by the entire cast; Samuel L. Jackson is of course great as usual, and Jennifer Jason Leigh is outstanding. The movie is around 3 hours long, but to me it never felt slow. Typical QT in that even the protagonists are 'bad guys' to some degree, or at least walk the line. In this movie, more than most, that has to do with the circumstances of the time period. All the characters are interesting, though, and it's a great whodunit. If you like QT's filming/storyline/dialogue style, you'll probably enjoy this one. I've become more of a fan of his films in recent years because, as I mentioned, I feel they are getting better.

A BIG plus for me is that the movie features a brand new score by Ennio Morricone.

    5/5.
