    Reps in internal training

I just watched the Green Dragon video on Iron Vest again and they're talking about reps. He said you start at 36 reps per exercise, and you can take it up to 72 reps. He said you can also go up to 108 if you want, but if you do 108 reps and then decide that it takes too long, you can't go back down to 72 reps. wtf is up with that? What happens if you do? Do you die or something?

I realize that internal training is different... but from my perspective that sounds rediculous. That's like if you do 20 pushups you can't ever do less again... yeah... ok. I would imagine in the internal example that if you did 108 and then brought it back down to 72 that the benefit would just be less, kind of like if you switched to 10 pushups from 20.

Or does it mess with your organs or something if you go higher and that's why you can't go back?

    Can someone explain please?
