Frank you did the right thing. More people should speak up. Don't second guess it. Go hit a heavy bag now and clear the doubts.

hey having your face known for doing good isnt so bad

id say go for it on the CLF if it makes sense for her. at least maybe then she can in the future in the very least.

who knows, maybe this will be the beginning of a long and healthy martial arts career for her

A warrior doesn't get emotional. You did the right thing and you should contact the police and social services so you don't get caught in legal battles. Next time make sure to call the police first and then act if necessary. Children in between crazy people are the most vulnerable but beware of the law as we usually don't know what we are supposed to do legally. Great act of a savior.
The way it went down was i just wanted to see what the screaming was about. I stayed on my property and just watched. when the lady moved towards the balcony and lifted up her child that is when i started screaming for people to call 911.

I wasn't even thinking. i just acted. somehow i knew if i can keep this lady's attenion on me till the cops come her daughter will be ok. I just learned that the grand mother was there and actually fled the apartment in fear for her life. but i wasn't going to step in if it was just a family affair. yet, tossing your 7 year old daughter over the balcony seemed like the right moment to step in.

it took 5 cops and four or so paramedics just to keep this lady on the gurney.

    Thanks Mig.....i do appreciate that.

    Fei Ling.....

I went down and let it out on the bag a little while ago. I had to. thank you for your kind words.

But man, that lady really did throw EVERY THING she could get her hands on at me from the dog, doghouse, chairs, bowls, clocks, cell phone, make up bag.....but it worked. she stopped the attack on her daughter and tried to kill me. LMAO....

I even helped her grandmother clean up afterwards......

The preservation of life is paramount, you did the right thing.

You did what you could and kept her from going after the child.

I was in a similar position I unfortunately made the mistake of thinking I would intimidate this guy enough that he would back off. But he came at me and I hurt him I wish things had gone better but at least the kids and his wife weren't hurt.

People like that need to be institutionalized and lobotomized.
It is bias to think that the art of war is just for killing people. It is not to kill people, it is to kill evil. It is a strategem to give life to many people by killing the evil of one person.

    Brother,

Where many would sit back and let the obligation of protection of the daughter fall into the hands of the police, who would not have gotten there in time before the child was thrown over the balcony, you stepped up and made sure that the mother did not harm her child.

I owe you a beer, brother.

    Thanks guys.

I can only hope the mother of the little girl will understand why i stepped in. i pray she will appreciate a stranger cared enough to step in.

Dale, i'd like to take you up on that one day

of course you did the right thing. Any time an adult is threatening the life of a small child, and you intervene, you are doing the right thing.
    You are a righteous individual.
That is because you are a TCMAist.
MMA guys and Glorified Kickboxers would just turn around and go back into their apartments.
Probably turn up their eminem to drown out the screams and do another bong hit...
maybe they'd try to fim it on their cellphones and post it on youtube.

Good on ya mate, i'm sure the little girl will apreciate what you did, try not to think to deep into it. You did the right thing, i'm sure a couple of frothy beers will calm the nervs and i'm sure the mum will get whatever help or treatment she needs.
