    running and it's effects...

Are there harmful effects to running till the point where your forcing yourself to continue, maybe running in general?? I also want to know if it's true what I heard, is jogging bad for your knees?

running in general is good for you, but it can be pretty hard on the knees. talk to some hardcore runners about proper form, shoes, etc. As far as pushing yourself to continue goes, how far are yohu pushing yourself? if it's too far and you are doing it on a regular basis, you may have to worry about the possibility of overtraining.

I've done lots of running in the past.

with running overtraining is a good possibility depending on what kind of shape you are in. You don't have to kill yourself every time you go for a run.

running isn't necessarily bad for your knees, but it depends on the person. Some people just aren't built to be runners. Get decent shoes and listen to your body. A little soreness isn't necessarily bad, pain is another matter.
