Thanks for the info cranky old man.

The horse bench form I leanrt in Fatsan is village Hung Kuen and was translated as Ng Fu Pai Ah. I only could grasp that it menas five tigers show teeth or something. It s a fairly short form and if anyone has info on it that would be great.

heavier weapons are better for practice. who wants to practice with light weapons, unless your doing a demo or soemthing there is no need for them.

    bench

the top is 2by 4 at38 inches long. the leg are made out of 1 one half inches square 23 inches long . .start tapering them 5 inches from the top of each leg til the top is round . the tops will be approx 1 inch across.drill holes in the top tapered in so at the top the legs are 3/8ths of a inch apart. angled down to 5 and a 1;4 inches apart.and add a dowel 1/2 inch in dia. 11 and 1/2inches up from the bottom of the leg for added strength . when the legs are put into the holes make a cuttout like on a hammer handle and pound in a wedge. then cut the tops of level with the top of the bench sand and paint or oil. if done right you can fight with it.

    bench

if you go to a hardware store and get steel corners to add at the top it will last longer if you do learn to use it against a pole or edged weapon .
