Just listened to the podcast. I totally agree with what they had to say about martial arts keeping the ego in check, as well as making people into better people. I don't however agree with the pre Judo era in terms of thinking martial arts are a waste of time ever since the invention of guns. In my limited experience with guns, martial arts practice gives you better control of your body which in tern helps control stress and aim better. The passing score for the test at the range described above was 225,out of the six of us I got a 275, second was a 250 two barely passed and two failed. I feel my training is what gave me the edge, without a doubt.
