I can't recall who it was and my copy of that book is at home. I think the model was a lot more buff than I am. I'm a skinny dude. Besides, I've never studied southern mantis.

108K: Actually, my last name is Chen too in Mandarin. My granddad came form Hakka stock and somehow his pronounciation of Chen came out Ching whoever was working immigration that day. There was three other Gene Chens in the USA, a taiji master, a mantis master (perhaps the one in that book) and another bak sil lum guy. Very confusing. I'll stick to Ching.

Very interesting about the names. The Gene Chen in the book was actually a sifu of both chen taiji, and chu gar spm. He also published some articles before he passed, I believe.
