    Talking LOL at this everything on this thread!

    But I'm afraid my answer is more boring...

    hobby and obsession are only two choices, and not wide enough at that.

    For me I am accepting it as part of a way of thinking and moving that I found in me as I was growing up, and as an adult. In a way, it was always part of my character, like the food I like, like the way I talk, like my other MA practise as part of my philosophy, like the way I wake up, like the...

    obsession and profession. my wife too.
    which is great 'cause she doesn't complain about me training too much, she comes along to training herself.
    our kids enjoy it as well. we're a regular wing chun family

    does your gym train you hard enough?

    I don't see how it can possible be an obsession, we do mad cardio and we are so burnt out I can't wait to get out of class at the end of 1.5 hours

    Its very strenous, I don't even think about martial arts after the class... crazy.
