Nup. *Geekspeak warning* I need it for the vertex texture access capabilities. Vertex Shader 3.0 in DirectX lingo, vertex textures in OpenGL. The X800 doesn't have this feature. It'll be incredibly handy for physics/mechanics calculations per-vertex of a mesh. Much moreso than fragment texture access.
the scariest part is, I know what most of that means. What are you doing visualizations of?
