    Zhai Yao Quan

    HM,

The first three of the Zhaiyao Quan, are generally accepted by folks in Tanglang I have spoken to, as being the originals, (though I know there are those of differing opinions). The other three were later additions to what we know as the corpus of Tanglang Quan. So far as I know to date, no line of Tanglang "lost" the sets. There were simply additions as Meihua and Qixing intermixed over the years. Some were present and chose to keep these additions, others did not.

(However, if the representative of a style wants to come forward and say, Hey! We lost that! I can direct you to guys who do more than three...)

Also, you should know that many have a seventh Zhaiyao Quan, (created by Song Zide) which contains the ground fighting for those lines.

    Hope it helps,

    Steve Cottrell
