Why do people confuse actors on a screen for the real deal? It's just stupid to do that.

ok i never said he was a good fighter. i know he was an actor as kid.

obviously there were kung fu movies before genius. and after too. but he did a lot for the genre. he basically popularized it in america. where only 50 people would go to a theater now 150-200 are going.

i know he never fought tournaments. i have watched his training. that kung fu demo he did where he performed mantis and such was pretty bad actually. i saw some of his serious training and his idea's are good. to me it seems he just put his cma training down on paper, use what works. I have also seen the trianing bloopers of his stuff where he misses the bags and stuff. wasn't perfect, no one is.

    The Bruce Lee Show

The Chinese are making a 40 part television show about Bruce Lee for the runup to Olympics.

BEIJING — China's national broadcaster has started shooting a 40-part series on the late action film star Bruce Lee, part of an apparent bid to promote Chinese culture in the run-up to next year's Beijing Summer Olympics.

China Central Television started filming "The Legend of Bruce Lee" last weekend in Shunde in Guangdong province in southern China, Xinhua News Agency reported this week. Shunde is the ancestral home of the martial arts icon, who was born in San Francisco in 1940.

Xinhua said the $6.4-million production will also be filmed in Hong Kong and the United States, where Lee studied and launched his acting career.

"I'm nervous and also excited, but I will do my best," said Chen Guokun, who plays Lee.

Chen, best known for his role in the action comedy "Kung Fu Hustle," said he has practiced kung fu for many years and that from the time he was a child, Lee had been his role model.

Lee died in 1973 at age 32 from swelling of the brain. His films include "Fists of Fury" and "Enter the Dragon."

The TV series is due to be aired in 2008.

I remember that I was about 5 or 6 year old.

friends and family told me that Li Xiao long will be on TV.

he was a martial artist and made it to the hollywood.

so I waited for the first episode of green hornet to be aired on TV in Taiwan.
