    Chi Kung and the flu/cold

    I was going to put this in the chi kung/meditation thread but felt it may be more appropriate here since it has to do with health.

    Just wondering if anyone knows of any specific chi kung methods that help to recover from the flu or cold faster?

    yes; but I don't know how that's going to help you, unfortunately (I mean, it's not like I could describe them and have you do them...)...

    try this:
    Hon's Brew
    2 mug-fulls of water
    1/2 lemon: squeeze it into the water, then throw it in
    4 to 5 pieces of ginger the size & thickness of quarters
    boil ~5 minutes
    add as much honey as you like
    drink

    you can add one more mug-full of HOH and re-boil;

    this is what I use for myself and family - no complaints yet...

    I do not believe that this is a TCM remedey, but you could try drinking horehound tea from fresh horehound leaves. It is very bitter, and you have to take it in shots with water, but I've found that it blasts away colds.
