    Eight Rigid Methods

Thoughts on the eight rigid methods (via Leung Ting book/Lee Kam Wing)

One of the methods is double palms striking forwards? Anyone got ideas on this and why these methods are stated more so that other classic mantis techniques?

    double palms

As taught to me by my uncle, Kevin Brazier. Double Palms found in the 8 hard as "following step double palms" in 7 long as "wrapping hands double palms" also "monk closes the gate", which is what I go by. I was introduced to the double palms by Kevin using "an zhang" or pressing palms. A very nice tai ji exercise used to apply your applications. Dig up an old thread called "advancing, retreating, false and real".
