I read the article about this. It really smacked of McCarthyism.

To start with: I guess most people who eat those crappy donuts are conservatives with nothing better to do. Most liberals I know don't use the product so I guess Dunkin Donuts has little to fear about a boycott. However I guess there may be one or two liberals who might think twice before going into DD next time.

Also, according to the article, Michelle Maulkin was the one who started this. From the way I see it her charges are baseless and has damaged the career of Ms. Ray....I hope Michelle has some good lawyers.

The real saddness.. is that the political "theatre" is doing its job well, it's distracting the masses into believing that there is value in politics.. there isn't.. the US is run by corporate manipulation, politics happens to be the best Corporate Puppet of all.. The Enemies of the Corporate Elite are "We the People", and religious fundamentalism.. yeah, and any semblance of true Socialism..

The "People" are merely "parts in the Corporate machinery".. politics is the "grease".. and, the media, LOL, is the marketing dept.

Well, the problem here is, there is no evidence. There's plenty of suspicion, something that has been present in attitudes towards leadership since the beginning of time, but nothing specifically proven. In fact, do you think the big corporations monster is favoring any candidate? Do you think the people are powerless to keep the person out of office? What if they support McCain? What if McCain isn't elected? What then?

I don't believe your accusations. It sounds like paranoia due to not feeling able to change anything. That's what I see. What do you see? Which view is the right one? Did it ever occur to you that maybe you are wrong?
