Ah, but you did do just as I claimed. I showed how John McCain and his chief economic advisor (Douglas Holtz-Eakin) called it a bailout. Yet, you continually claimed he was against a bailout.
Subjective reality vs. objective reality

First - that is the average price on Long Island comparison from last year to this year, not Texas. From my charts , you are paying about the same for gas in Austin - looks like it was about $2.68 this time last year. The average on LI is $3.18, I just paid $3.05. I have seen stations at $2.97 and $3.89 - gotta shop around ( line for the sub-$3 stations are down the block)
What was it in Dec 2003 in Austin ( as far back as I can go on http://www.longislandgasprices.com/) ? About $1.05.... I never blamed Bush for the price of oil, I do however think there should be investigations into why prices shoot up on speculation of hurricanes and/or tensions in oil producing countries so quickly, when historically they have not.
Regarding the lying issue ( on both sides) RC and GLW hit it on the head, much better than how I stated it. You can keep saying you don't feel McCain is lying regarding running a negative campaign and I guess technically you are right - it's subjective to your belief set. Like I said before - it's a classic case of "I don't recall".
But he still did/is running a negative campaign when he claimed he wouldn't.

Whatever. Notice I said then what I say now. It was not a 'airline style' bailout. People were fired, the government owns stock in these banks (I'm against that, but it is different than the airline bailouts) unlike how we bailout the airlines.
Again, I said I was against what McCain voted for. I'm not making excuses for the guy, I'm DISAGREEING with his vote on that issue. I can admit he's not perfect instead of resorting to playing semantics and embarrasing myself.
I disagree with other stuff McCain has done and proposes. I did not even vote for him in the primaries. But he is a hell of alot better than that socialist who can't tell the truth about his past.

When given the choice between big business and big government, choose big business. Big business never threw millions of people into gas chambers, but big government did.

The point was that John McCain considered it a bailout (e.g. in an op-ed he penned for the Wall Street Journal). Hence he was supportive of some bailouts, in direct contravention of your statement that he was against all bailouts. Whether you consider it to be a bailout or not is utterly irrelevant. He considered it to be one, and he supported it. Your absolute statement was thus rendered incorrect.

LOL! Even the title of that is nearly NSFW.
Anyway you saw the pictures of Pam I posted... very different from Jeri Ryan. Pam is exactly my type of woman (I did marry her after all)

I appreciate your discretion.
However although I appreciate other people not commenting on my wife I am certainly willing to exhort her virtues to others.
Ok, it's a double standard... but still...
That being said, if I had to pick a celebrity to ogle... Kristin Kreuk is good.

Less than three weeks now......and the question is not if Obama is going to win but by how much......
If things keep tending the way they are going I can't see McCain winning anywhere except the south....and even that is in question. I would just laugh my butt off if Obama carried a state like Mississippi!
Anyway the one person I really real sorry for in all of this mess is Sarah Palin. She was obviously way, way in over her head and it shows. Also it seems that she is the designated attack dog for the GOP...Not good stragedy...
Nope, in about 10 years Sarah will probably be making a living off of "I once ran for VP!"
"'Facts' were posted on Obama's website. They had to be taken down and/or rephrased because they were lies. It's that simple. Some things are black-and-white."
You claim Facts...- now do YOU know for a fact that they ARE FACTS..no...did Obama put them there himself... ? I wouldn't know.
Would it be possible that when the issue was raised, Obama or someone in his campaign said to correct it? Entirely possible...
As for Heroes...not mine. In fact, I would have preferred to see Dennis Kucinich get elected...that would have shaken things up a bit...
But, I notice that again, you resort to insults... I have not... I also notice that again you chose to totally ignore the body and points in mine and other's posts...
Parroting "He lied..." and posting how you get your views - in some cases word for word - from right wing and neocon sites...
How original. Now...speak to the point. You are stating your opinions as if they are facts. They are not. I am stating observations...and you are inferring tons of things about my motives.
Now...why can't you speak to even one of the points made earlier?
