I said "open minded Christian." I didn't say I was a very good one.

Terry Pratchett is pretty d@mn funny. I do think that they're kind of 'read one - read them all' but they're so funny, if you've got time for light diversion(takes a day or two to read) they're spot-on.

Moor**** wrote some of the best fantasy fiction and some of the worst. The Elric, Stormbringer, Dorian Hawkmoon (forget the name of that series), Corum series etc are fine reads.

Travis (not my first name, but it's the one I go by.)

Brandon, FL... Mercilessly Sunny, Relentlessly Hot Florida.

25 laps around the sun so far.

None yet- wife and I are waiting.

Practicing Christian ("Practicing" 'cuz I still have yet to get it right.)

Until last year, I was training in MyJhong Law Horn. My favorite style so far. Also have a smidgeon of Shorin-Ryu karate training from when I was a wee one. My Current style is Workout-Ryu Excercise-jitsu-ken-muhn-do-pai... uhhh, quan?

Spending time with the wife, reading (fantasy, history, manga, and whatever I happen to come upon.) indulging my culinary curiosity, excercising, martial arts, and trying to whittle down some RPG or another when I have the chance. Other than that, trying to spend what little free time I have in a vain attempt to piece together the sanity I lose every day at work.

I have to agree- Jordan and Pratchett are awesome. I'll have to check out Moorec0ck sometime. I think George R. R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series is good, but it can go overboard sometimes. I hardly think of myself as a prude, but I think Martin has to lay of the viagra... or cialis or whatever.

Oak Ridge, TN (home of the Atomic Crotch Kick)

38 but I've pretty much completely forgotten everything between 22 and 28

    Son, George, five and invincible

    Practicing Heretic

Shaolin-Do for a while now, lately just because it makes everyone so angry. Shorin-Ryu before that, American Karate before that, school wrestling team before that, and light-saber fighting before that.

Playing music, chess, hiking/animal watching, comedy, long, romantic walks by the beach, paying very close attention to anything with Scarlet Johannson in it

Agreed wholeheartedly on the post about Jordan being second only to Howard with the Conan books. Also agreed that he bogs himself down in the WoT series but he's still a h3ll of a writer. Goodkind is okay. Pratchett is very good but still not as funny as Douglas Adams - if you've never read Adams' Last Chance to See, it's excellent.

Just randomly picked up a book called the Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse by Rankin which has turned out to be a pretty pleasant read so far.
Meanwhile, I'll be looking for God in this box of Cheerios - Crushing Fist
