Dear Martial Arts Enthusiasts,
On June 27th, 2009, we held our very first official tournament – Tiger Claw’s KungFuMagazine.com Championship. This historic event was held in the spacious South Hall of the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, in cooperation with the 6th Annual Shark City Nationals, a karate tournament under the auspices of the Bay Area Sport Karate Association (BASKA) promoted by Tony and Theresa Kattengell. It was an unprecedented crossing of martial cultures on a massive scale. Our event had five rings and a stage. The BASKA event had ten rings and a stage. Both stages had demonstrations going on all day. Over 500 competitors fought it out from sunrise past sundown, and the after party raged early into the next morning. We even did a webcast the day of the event, which is archived here for your viewing pleasure.*
On June 12th, 2010, we are planning to hold Tiger Claw’s KungFuMagazine.com Championship II, again in cooperation with Shark City Nationals. We hope you’ll join us for another great event. Mark your calendars and bookmark this site for updates. We’ll have more details as it get closer.
