4th U.P.Kung Fu Championship
The 4th U.P.Kung Fu Championship was held at the Dragon Academy, Sanjay Gandhi Puram, Faizabad Road Lucknow, U.P. 15-17 june 2009 by Lucknow Kung fu association the supervision of the Uttar Pradesh Kung Fu Association. This Championship is of great significance for marking the turning points in state kung fu movements and improving the cordial collaboration between the Kung Fu Players/ artists and the District Kung Fu organizations the State over. The 3rd U.P.Kung Fu Championship, followed by the 1st and 2nd State Kung Fu Championship held in Lucknow, and Jaunpur respectively, showed the rapid growth and development of the sprits Kung Fu to the Uttar Pradesh with the attendance of 150 participants from 8 different Districts of U.P. In the ceremony, attended over 150 players of different District Kung Fu associations including the athletes, coaches, umpires and officials, and Mr Vipin Kumar, Hon. President of Gonda Kung Fu Association and other presidents of the District association were invited as the Guests of honor. The most highlighted view in the ceremony was the attendance of Chairman Technical Committee Kung Fu Federation of India , that the U.P.K.A. could have the opportunity to impress upon the Kung Fu Federation of India with its true and real feature as the provincial integrated Kung Fu entity. The Opening Ceremony of the 3rd U.P.Kung Fu Championship was inaugurated at 8 o’clock at Brice Lee hall, Dragon Academy, Sanjay Gandhi Puram, Faizabad Road Lucknow. There was the parade of the attendants district by district at English alphabetical order and followed the declaration of the opening of the 3rd U.P.Kung Fu Championship by Mr. Hari Sharan Dube, Chief Judge of the judging committee. After his announcement, there was the Kindling of the torchlight with the flame which had been conveyed from Barabanki, among the enthusiastic cheers of the attendants. Displayed in the ceremony were the demonstrations of martial arts, weapons from Balrampur Kung Fu Associations and Kung-Fu events from Bahraich Kung Fu Associations. The ceremony was closed by the beautiful performance of the Stone breaking.Competitions of 5 groups and sub categories began on the 28th July 2008 at Bruce lee hall while Fight competition in Yin yang hall in Dragon academy.. In this Kung Fu championship, the competitions of the kung fu categories; Tao lu, sanda, light sanda , Tuer shu and Tai chi were conducted in 30 different divisions Weight categories, patterns, sparring, fighting techniques, individual competitions under the rules of the Kung Fu Federation of India .All the athletes showed the thrilling and touching scenes with their high techniques and moralities through the tournaments The Technical Committee, U.P.Kung Fu Association selected two panels of judges Sanda Harikesh Sager, Ankur Goel, Nihal Ahmed, Taolu. Anshul Gaurav, Monojit Lahree, Chander Prakash The Awarding Ceremony was taken place on the 29th July 2008 evening 5.00 PM. 30 gold, 30silver and 50 bronze medals were presented to the winners.During the Championship, several Kung Fu categories that have not been affiliated to the U.P. Kung Fu Association, performed their demonstrations in order to introduce their Style
