Thread: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

I just spent a day at Knott's berry farm with so many rides.

I took the ghost rider. no comment.

I think the shows, shopping and eatery may catch on.

    crazy rides probably not.

OT: How to have a GREAT Christmas

Well, it`s Christmas Eve and I just got back from making the rounds to a bunch of our friends` (and thier friends`) houses. I found out lthe secret to having an AMAZING Christmas last year, and it worked this year too.

Last year our Church tapped me to be Santa for the kids at the Christmas party. It was a blast , and before I returned the suit I also visited my wife`s friends who have little kids. It was so great that I ordered my own suit the very next week and decided to do it every year.

If you ever have the chance to play Santa for a kid, DO IT!! I can`t tell you how great it is to see the kids faces light up when you show up at thier house. Once in a while the littlest ones are kind of scared of the big guy in the red suit....but most of the time it`s all hugs, pictures, and cookies. This year one 5yr old girl gave me a 10% off coupon for a toy store she cut out of the newspaper because she said it must cost Santa alot of money to buy the toys for all the good boys and girls. How cute is that?
Anyway, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Now if you`ll excuse me, I`m gonna see if the Mrs. wants to take a ride on Santa`s magic lap.

Merry Christmas all, and happy <insert celebration here>.

I would like to take this time to say thank you to all of you. The short time I've been studying WC and have been on this forum you have all given me something to think about in my pursuits in the art of WCK and general MAs.
Of all the arts I have studied, dabbled and looked into, this is the one that has been the most frustrating in the sense that once I achieve a competency, I find a deficiency. There's always something to work on, some area to improve it seems.

Question, Santa is built more like a grappler and Jesus looks to be more suited for "The Chun." Who do you think would... oh never mind. It's Christmas for Pete's sake.

Thank you for your time here, Specialed. You've been more than informative. I'm already starting to miss you. No, you can't stay, boy. You have to go, out there you'll be happy and free. No, boy! You have to go! Go! I love you, boy, but you have to go! Go! I hate you! *SLAP* Get out of here! I don't want you anymore! You have to go! *SLAP!* *Bark! Bark!* (barks fade into distance)

I love you, boy. I always will......

I know that Santa seems harmless but if you think about it he has the characteristics of a pagan idol (who is replacing God in Christmas). And I thought worship of false idols was wrong

    1) He's magical. For example: he flies through the air, can visit every home in one night, can get into and out of your house, has room in his sleigh for presents for everyone, etc.

    2) He knows who's been good and bad. And he will reward accordingly. So God does not judge you anymore....Santa does.

    3) He teaches materialism. It's all about "what am I going to get this Christmas."

    4) He represents happiness through gift receiving and a type of father figure. He's jolly, etc.

"5yr old girl gave me a 10% off coupon for a toy store..."

Now if that doesn't say it all. I don't think Catholics should have anything to do with santa at Christmas. No offense but I don't see other religions diverting their childrens attention from God. Why do Catholics do it?

the gift if not received by the recipient is not a gift.

however, life is a gift from god and our parents.

so there are things we may not return or take it back etc.

life is complicated enough, MA is complicated enough.

would it be nice to make things "simple".

yes, yes, I learned this from so and so teach, I modified it or add something to it.

just be honest with yourself first.
