1st World Taijiquan Championships, Chengdu, PRC

This took place at the beginning of this month. It's not what you think. It's a completely different PRC competition circuit with a new rule system that is different that Taijiquan and Taijijian competition in Modern Wushu. Kyrgyzstanis make success at World Championships in Taijiquan

Kyrgyz successfully performed at the I World Championships in Taijiquan. This was reported by Traditional Wushu Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As noted, the competition took place recently in Chengdu (China). Taijiquan - one of the most popular styles of wushu arts in the world. This year, the International Wushu Federation filed an application to the International Olympic Committee for inclusion Taijiquan into the Olympic sports. In connection with this WCH of this style was organized for the first time. It was attended by about 300 followers of this kind of sport and traditional Wushu from 30 countries.

It is reported that the Kyrgyz demonstrated technique without arms and with Jian sword in different kinds of programs. According to leading Chinese experts, Eugene Lopatkin performed in accordance with deep traditions peculiar to Taijiquan, showing energy and inner content of a true martial art. Lyubov Seryakova won silver certificate championship. Oleg Kosenko, Nikolay Kononenko, Elena Pavlenko, Aisuluu Asankulova took bronze certificates.
