    RULES AND REGULATIONS

    For the second year in a row, the New England Championships will be an online event. Competitors will submit competition videos and then our qualified judges will score them.

    This year, we are not shipping medals except by special request.

    However, all competitors will receive a Certificate of Participation and Certificates of Award for all events in which they finish 5th place or higher, at no extra charge.

    Age groups: 7 & under, 8-10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-39, 40-59, 60+

    Experience levels: Beginning, intermediate, and advanced

    Chungcheongbuk-do to Host the 2021 Online World Martial Arts Masterships and WMC Convention 2021



    The 2021 Online World Martial Arts Masterships is held for five days from October 29 at the online studio. During the event the World Martial Arts Masterships Committee (WMC) Convention 2021 is also held from October 28 to 30. The 2021 Online World Martial Arts Masterships is the first online international martial arts multi-games. Under the theme of New Challenge, Open World, it featuring 10 martial arts categories including official Olympics events, Judo and Taekwondo will be participated by 3,300 people from 100 countries. The event will serve as a stage for the exchange of martial arts information across the world and suggest the direction to be pursued by the martial arts world in the pandemic era through the slogan, No visas, No passports, No borders, No COVID-19.     Hosted by Chungcheongbuk-do and WMC, organized by WMC and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, the 2021 Online World Martial Arts Masterships, under the patronage of UNESCO, is the first online international martial arts multi-games held for the purpose of overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic and promoting a continuous exchange of global martial artists.

    Under the theme of ‘New Challenge, Open World’, the event featuring 10 martial arts categories including official Olympics events, Judo and Taekwondo will be participated by 3,300 people from 100 countries. The event will serve as a stage for the exchange of martial arts information across the world and suggest the direction to be pursued by the martial arts world in the pandemic era through the slogan, “No visas, No passports, No borders, No COVID-19.”

    Martial artists from each country will demonstrate their forms for the respective category, such as Poomsae and Kata online, and the judges will also assess the forms and rank the participants online. The matches and judging will take place on the online platform established by the WMC and the match operation and all the events will be streamed live online.

    The WMC Convention 2021 will also be held from October 28 to 30.

    Following last year, the WMC Convention has also adopted the hybrid (online and offline) method this year and the program will consist of World Martial Arts Industry Fair, Academic Conference, World Martial Arts Leaders Forum, and the WMC General Meeting. All the programs of the WMC Convention will be live-streamed through its website and YouTube channel.

    The WMC has attained an international status by being approved as a Permanent Consultative Member (PCM) of the Intergovernmental Committee for Physical Education and Sport (CIGEPS) in UNESCO and as the code signatory of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and it is the first martial arts and sports organization in Korea to participate in the Sports for Climate Action of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

    Vietnam bag gold medals at world online martial arts tournament

    Vietnamese athletes scored big at Online World Martial Arts Masterships 2021 that concluded Tuesday.
    They clinched five gold, seven silver and four bronze medals in the five-day online event. Vietnam participated in Kurash, Judo and traditional martial arts.

    The Kurash team grabbed four gold and one silver, the Judo team one gold and three silver while the traditional martial arts team won three silver and four bronze medals.

    With 16 medals in total, Vietnam are ranked third at the event, while South Korea are first with 73 medals, followed by the Philippines with 23.

    Online World Martial Arts Masterships 2021 aims to provide new opportunities for martial artists from all over the world during the Covid-19 pandemic.

    The event, hosted by World Martial Art Masterships Committee, welcomed over 3,300 participants from 100 nations, competing in 10 categories. Preliminary rounds occured from Sep. 1 to 30 while the main event took place from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2.

    Brunei wushu athletes shine at international virtual meet

    Brunei Darussalam wushu athletes produced a strong showing in the International Wushu Federation’s (IWF) Wushu Taolu Virtual Competition 2021.

    The country’s top female practitioner Basma Lachkar led the way with a first category prize in the Taijiquan event after posting a score of 8.583 points and a second category prize in the Taijijian event with 8.303 points.

    Her compatriot and fellow Southeast Asian Games (SEA) medallist Hosea Wong Zheng Yu emulated the feat of attaining a first category prize in the Taijiquan event with 8.173 points.

    The quartet of Lim Yee Sean, Li Ziyan, Walid Lachkar and Abel Lim Wee Yuan also impressed in the international stage after earning good results.

    Lim Yee Sean made a mark in the Taijijian event after winning a first category prize with 8.333 points followed by a second category prize in the Taijiquan event with a score of 8.486 points.

    The trio of Li Ziyan, Walid Lachkar and Abel Lim Wee Yuan also attained second category prizes in their respective events.

    National wushu coach Li Hui expressed satisfaction with the performances of the four new athletes whose online appearances served, as good preparations for future international tournaments.

    Leimapokpam Nelson Meitei representing Wushu Association of India finished second in the Jianshu Group B event of in the 2021 IWUF Wushu Taolu Virtual Competition being underway since October 27.
    Meanwhile, Manipur's Jona Princie Konsam competing in the Taijijian Group B event secured third and Achom Tapas managed fourth place in the Daoshu Group B event, said founder secretary of Wushu Association of Manipur in a statement.
    The competition will continue till November 3.

A lot of really bad ones to. Its almost like happy-hour at a Senior Center tai chi class.     2021 China-Baltic States Wushu Online Competition Concluded Successfully

    BEIJING--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On November 28, 2021 Beijing time, after 6 days of assessment, the 2021 China-Baltic States Wushu Online Competition came to an end, and the results of the competition were officially announced.

    The competition received more than 3,000 entries from Wushu (Chinese Martial Arts) enthusiasts in China and 3 Baltic countries.
