On May 19-21st, 2017, Kung Fu Tai Chi magazine celebrates a quarter century in publication with the Kung Fu Tai Chi 25th Anniversary Festival in San Jose California. Kung Fu Tai Chi is pleased to announce its cooperation with the International Wushu Sanshou Dao Association (IWSD) as they are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. Many of the invited guests for the Kung Fu Tai Chi 25th Anniversary Festival are leading members of the IWSD, so this union will bring even more attendees to the festival. IWSD will be overseeing two aspects of the Kung Fu Tai Chi 25th Anniversary Festival: The IWSD Push Hands King Championship and The Kung Fu Tai Chi 25th Anniversary Festival Awards Banquet Celebrating 30 Years of IWSD.
The IWSD Push Hands King Championship will be held during the Tiger Claw KungFuMagazine.com Champion held on Saturday and Sunday in the South Hall of the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. Rules and registration are forthcoming. The Kung Fu Tai Chi 25th Anniversary Festival Awards Banquet Celebrating 30 Years of IWSD will be held at the Dynasty Chinese Seafood Restaurant, 10123 N Wolfe Rd, Cupertino, CA 95014-2509. Seats are $55 per person, or a table of 10 may be reserved for schools, clubs, family and friends at $500.

This theatrical performance will be staged in San Jose’s historic California Theater. Seldom is such a powerful congregation of top Kung Fu masters assembled together under one roof. General tickets are $40, but a limited number of VIP tickets are available for the entire event. These VIP passes grant access to VIP Section for Kung Fu Tai Chi 25th Anniversary Festival Grandmasters LIVE! plus a private VIP reception prior to the performance.
The 9th Annual Tiger Claw Elite KungFuMagazine.com Championship will be held once again in the spacious South Hall of San Jose’s McEnery Convention Center. Like in 2016, the competition will be split so the external events will compete on Saturday and the internal events on Sunday. Our showcase division, the 8th Annual WildAid Tiger Claw Championship, will be held on Sunday. This special competition benefits WildAid and their work to preserve endangered species in the wild.
The Tiger Claw Elite Championships will be held in the luxurious San Jose McEnery Convention Center, in the heart of downtown San Jose. The Convention Center is Silicon Valley’s premiere and is within walking distance of hotels, restaurants, bars, theaters and shopping, all the best that San Jose has to offer.
Last year’s Tiger Claw’s KungFuMagazine.com Championship garnered international attention, attracting masters and competitors from Africa, Europe, North and South America and, of course, China. It drew more than 2400 competitors and spectators. Previous sponsors include Disney, Tiger Balm, California Bank and Trust, the City of San Jose, China Books, Chinese Today Radio, Five Branches University, One Work Place, UPS and numerous independently-owned martial arts schools.
