Chinese Daggers: Single and Double Dagger Methods

Often used by assassins, Chinese Daggers are traditional weapons of kung fu. Compact yet effective, dagger techniques can be deployed using any sharp object, making them highly practical. This instructional course details warm ups, basic techniques, applications and training drills for Chinese Dagger. Traditional Chinese Daggers are usually wielded in pairs. Included here are routines for both double dagger and single dagger, which is very rare. At age thirty-one, Zhao Qingjian became the oldest male ever to win a gold medal in modern wushu at the 11th National Games of the People's Republic of China. Trained in both modern wushu and traditional kung fu, Zhao is a former member of the Beijing Wushu Team as well as the Shaolin Warrior Monk Demonstration Troupe. Zhao earned several national and international titles, including a gold medal at the Wushu Tournament Beijing, held during the 2008 Olympic Games.
