Lazlow: "Alright, now joining us in the studio, we have a very special guest, his new book 'Karate and Digestion' has been on top of the 100 best self-help books for the past three weeks. He is the founder of 'Now and Zen' dojo and organic food market in Trenton, his name is Reed Tucker...welcome to Chatterbox, Reed!"
Reed: "Why thank you Lazlow, it certainly is an honour to be here today."
Lazlow: "So tell me Reed, where did you think of the idea of combining martial arts and organic food, I..I mean it's kinda like putting ice-cream on pizza, both are great but they really shouldn't be put together."

I say that we are all a big community here. We are all connected by the fact that we practice martial arts of some sort. That's why we, after a certain point where we get to know each other, get this personal connection to each other, where we start making fun, chat about all kinds of stuff, like if we met each other for real. therefore we also get to talk about off-topic stuff as well. I think it is totally legal, since we've got to have some breathing-space from MA-related subjects, that can tend to be a little heavy to swallow,if u know what I mean. I think we should be allowed to talk about ewhat we want, as long as it is not in a threatening, hateful atmosphere, where people get hurt. We have to keep dis muthaf*cka real u know.

It's basically about striking with your stick against your opponents weapon-wielding hand, both as counter and offence, to end the job as quickly as possible. We did some empty-hand Lago de Mano too (filipino word for defanging the..), where i had to jab the assistant-instructor around, while he showed the techs on me, among other things he striked with the elbow against my fist, and ducked while striking my jabbing arm from the sides.
