i hereby vote that fighting should be mandatory from at LEAST intermediate to advanced levels in all styles. even iron chef.

Ming Yue
03-24-2004, 02:01 PM
hi y'all. :) How is everyone?

I always thought Iron Chef would be way more interesting if there was only one set of the ingredients and the chefs had to fight for them, and then make do with what they got.

also maybe if there were hidden proximity mines in the cooking area. You know, just a couple to liven things up.

Starchaser107
03-24-2004, 02:08 PM
that would so rock.
glad im not alone.
maybe if they even used those culinary tools as weapons
or even demonstrated a chef kata or something.

CaptinPickAxe
03-24-2004, 02:11 PM
It'd be dope if thier squads were like the hatchet gang. while the two iron chefs fought for the ingredients and cooked, the hatchet gangs would fight each other. That would make it so I could watch at least 5 minutes of that boring sh!t.

Starchaser107
03-24-2004, 02:18 PM
yes the tv show might be boring as heck, but think of the possibilities if it crossed over into the gaming platforms as a 3-d fighter

Ming Yue
03-24-2004, 02:20 PM
and...

15 minutes before the main ingredient is unveiled, hatchet gangs (wouldn't that be paring knife gangs?) have the opportunity to booby trap the opponents kitchen area.

culinary tools are too easy to kill with. I vote spice fight.

a little cayenne on the fingers before an eye gouge...

CaptinPickAxe

I like your style...

The winner would have to fight in a handicap match against all four Iron Chefs (but they have crab shells for shields) and the winner of that would have to fight the guy who's obsessed with bell peppers. Of course, he'd have a 50lb hammer though...just to make things interesting

Starchaser107
03-24-2004, 02:32 PM
I'd like to see evidence of either some hard external or internal qigong, as a pre requisite coupled with thier fighting demonstration to justify the usage of the term "Iron"

Ming Yue
03-24-2004, 02:32 PM
make that a disco-stylin' sequin-encrusted 30lb hammer.

That guy couldn't lift 50lbs.

lol@crab shells for shields....

CaptinPickAxe
03-24-2004, 02:35 PM
...and under their chef hats they'd have Ninjits (ninja midgets for those who are living in the dark) who have tantos. As you know, a tanto is like a katana to a midget.

Ming Yue
03-24-2004, 02:40 PM
tantos and mini-blowguns that shoot whole cloves, which are the preferred projectile in a spice fight.

For god's sake, man, it has a full sized NBA court, 1 indoor olympic swimming pool, 2 out door pools, that small pool with rushing water you run in, and wimmins, wimmins, WIMMINS!

Every treadmill came equiped fans, Plasma screens, and personal DVD players...yeah. The men's locker room had a personal hottub, sauna (wet & dry), TV room, and attendant. I remember going to the gym.

Stupid fuggin water pump exploded in the truck I've been driving the past couple of months. Means, I gotta go back to driving my truck. God be with me, hope this b!tch don't wreck my chest.

And the tags are 3months expired. Momma told me she went and bought 'em. Turns out, taxes thingie hadn't gone through, so we couldn't say we paid taxes on my ride, thus the tags were not available to me. Then, after the filing got done, she forgot.
And I have to pick up my two little brothers. Who go to school effectively across town form one another. And I can only fit one of those peeps into my truck at a time. And one gets out 20min before the other. So, I have to get the first one, drive him 15min to his mom's place of business and drop him off, go back in, get the other one, take him all the way home, then go back in, get the youngest one from momma, take him home, then go teach two kids karate classes (friggin hooligans) then go visit my gf because her family's being a total *****pack. All in a crappy truck which seeks to fug my chest all the way to the firey pits of Hell itself.

SUMNUVA*****!!!

I just wanna go do some fugging karate and lift some fugging weights. That's it.

Next time I go for a fugging Dan test, I'm busting someone's testicles. No more of that punch and kick BS, it's time for some serious motherfuking Naihanchi up in that future bizzatch.

Hey Zues Fugging Crismas, the past two days, all I've heard is people (including my girlfriend and grandmother) cracking wise about my putting on weight (I'm 185 fer crissakes) being broke, having no job.

This morning, first thing off, grandmother goes off on a tirade about how I should just ignore my chest and start doing stuff again before I outgrow my pants (which I've done once already).

Argh. Top that off, my instructor didn't have his checkbook on him, so I don't get paid till thursday. but, that's all right. My gf's birthday isn't till friday, and I'm not going to get to see her that day, plus I don't know if she's getting a bd present or a pink slip.

LOL, I've eaten your moutain mexican food. Taco Bell puts it to shame...TACO BELL. The Salsa was like water, ya'll's quesadillas are a big tortillia folded in half (as opposed to two huge ones), and ya'll have the seasoning all wrong. Here in San Antonio (Little Mexico on the streets) you can find some of the finest mexican dining ever. We have a variety of mexican food.. southern, coastal, northern, New Mexican cuisine (which isn't new school, it is from New Mexico), etc..

By the by, it depends on the type of salsa, and where it was derived... there is a place here in boulder with really watery salsa that is as tasty as any of the pasty thicker kind you can find too...

On another note, green chili... get mine from Northern New Mexico, 'cause thats the way (ah huh, ah huh) I like it...

you want to compare cuisine and you bring up tortillias with cheese in it...

There is no good mexican food here in pittsburgh, probably because out of the top 50 mpa s(metropolitan statistical areas) in america, pittsburgh has the smallest latin american population, kind of sucks, however we do have a lot of indians and lots of excellent indian food!!!!!(which is better than mexican food anyway!)

well bodhi,
it's still the long weekend here , everything goes back to normal on tuesday.
the whole city is quiet and empty..."why" you ask
because : everybody has gone to the north coast or the west end of the island to paaartyyy.
its been pretty blah sinch thursday, and since i'm not a church junkie , the whole easter thing does nothing for me... other than irritate me.
and the gym is closed so i can only train at home.

well depending on the type of injury youve recieved two things can happen by training

the first of which is that hopefully the excercize will relax the muscles and make it easier for you to move your neck.

the other thing that can happen is that you injure yourself more by aggrivating it.

snow is really cool.

but so is sand , i haven't been to the beach in ages.

this lebanese guy that i know says that the beaches in lebanon are much nicer than ja. i've never been to lebanon so i can't verify.

I don't know about Jamaica or Lebanon, but what I do know is Hawaii has the most beautiful beaches and country I have EVER seen. Oahu has all the club scene, plastic waikiki women, and kavakava bars a 21 year old could want. The beaches are soft , white (or black...or green) sand. The water is warm and the waves are big. Big Island has the most beautiful country (like Rainforests, Plains, Moutains, Volcano, badlands, etc.). The colors are undiscribable.

Skankin' it slow.

'Scuse me while I light my splif.

Between getting the computer up and running and trying to find work, CPA has been a busy man. I want a job at a health club or music store. I need M-O-N-E-Y so I can start training again and buy me a motorcyle. I haven't had a chance to post any new tracks yet, because the PC I have it on has no internet access and this one is unreliable. James is finishing up the second part of the Trilogy (remember the trilogy?), "Lycanthropy", and I've begun on the the bear for "The Crusader". I'm gonna get MeatShake to play bass on "The Crusader", so it should be interesting.

Anyways, if I don't show my face for a few days, stay up.

I don't have it yet if they got it or not. They were filming all day, but I'm not sure what of my stuff they got and what they didn't. It'll be a few weeks before I'll get any of it either way.

That would be great, NP. I've applied at Bally's right by my apt. complex, but I get the impression that they are giving me the run around.

Bally's = McGym.

Well, finally broke up with the gf. Long story short, Issues came up, I decided they weren't worth dealing with again. I'm a little bummed, but not enough to lose anysleep over it. If God wants us together, then He'll let it happen. But, I ain't worried about it.

Peace, all. I'm getting some yogurt, then some sleep.
