I played a really intense game of chess last night , I was winning by a mile at first.. then i got too complacent and ****y and my girlfriend killed my Queen. the game immediately took a turn in the opposite direction.

things went so bad till in the final moments we had equal amounts of pieces , our kings, one pawn each and one castle each. she was in the better position. i had to recollect my wits and ultimately I got her in a position that allowed me destroy her castle and her pawn and finally checkmate..it was very stressfull can i tell you , but , I finally won, it felt good to triumph, she gave me a run for my money...
only problem is I gloated too much so now she wants a rematch:eek:

universal...and i never heard of plump.

plump probably have some english name that I dun know of. First you have 10 cards each. And before startin u tell how many hands you will win. U write it down and then everyone tries to win as many hands as they thought they would (you could say that you won't win any hand too). The ones that doesn't make to get as many hands gets a big black dot over the number you wrote down. (=plump). But if you made as many hands you said you would you write a 1 infront of the number you wrote b4. (like, if I have good cards I think I might b able to win 5 hands so I say I'll get 5. If I make it I write a 1 infront of the 5, thus giving me 15 points)

Then u deal a round of cards again but with only 9 each. And so forth til there's only one card each. You can't see this card so you have to guess how many hands you'll win before looking. (either 1 or 0, if you get an ace there's a good chance you'll win that hand but it also depends on who starts laying down the cards. (that's the one who presumes the most winning hands, in this case, the first to presume the 1 win)

Then you can go up again to ten til you have ten cards each. After that you count every points u got. The one with most points win

In that case I'd say I'd go with broad swords too coz they are pretty cool and I actually know how to weild them. But I think that if I knew how to use it then the katana is superior. What do you feel? The lunging, heavy Broad sword VS the lighter more technical Katana?

I think the sword Quality of most katana , is superior. however i think that if both swords were of the same quality and craftesmanship, the broadsword would be my choice, for it's hack and slash value.

Do what you need to do. I was a **** up for most of highschool... The 2nd half sadly. Its ok tho, I just call it my "journey of self discovery."
I did lots of drugs and didnt go to school. Didnt work out, didnt do sh!t. But Im glad, cause I seriously did learn a lot about myself, and I dont know where Id be now if I hadnt.
In no way am I saying that that is the solution to your problems, Im just saying do whatever you feel you need to do. Im doing really well now.... train hard, work all the time, school, ladies... :)

life is full of opportunities and experiences., you just gotta search alittle. In MA, you can try to pin poin the reason to why you started, then see if you've reached that goal. If you think you have, go test it.Maybe you should talk to your Hsing-i sifu about this? Maybe he can give you inspiration? (For me it helps whenever I feel low to talk to my sifu about something in our art. Like a form or whatever, and that always gives me motivation. I WANT to be better.

Well,the first clip (if I remember right...) was actually taken trough a window,so there´s plenty of distance there.The bird in question is generally very shy and can´t be approached all that well.

As for the second one (Parus).It´s a fairly courageous species we´re talking about.So,this one was taken pretty close,roughly over an arm´s length maybe.

I realized that a lot of my threads is developing into flamewars.. maybe I can move some of them over here.
